Improve The Oral Health Of Children

Childsmile is a national programme designed to improve the oral health of children in Scotland and reduce inequalities both in dental health and access to dental services.

It is funded by the Scottish Government and has four main elements :

• Childsmile Core Programme
• Childsmile Practice
• Childsmile Nursery and School

At Hyland Dental Care, we have a Childsmile nurse specially trained in the provision of oral health promotion and fluoride varnish application.

We provide:

• Oral health advice ( e.g. on healthy weaning, diet, teething and tooth brushing instruction )
• Regular dental check-ups and treatment, if required.
• Twice yearly fluoride varnish applications from two years old.
